After reading another post
http://old.nabble.com/Get-file-properties-from-a-directory-%28Low-Level%29-td27778097.html
I tried to apply the same idea on my problem.

So I managed to receive the correct results with changing the repository
location before calling status, eg.
                repository.setLocation(location, false);
                repository.status(rev, "", SVNDepth.INFINITY, reporter, editor);

After having done the status call, I restore the repository location to
continue my work.

Is changing the repository location a light-weight operation like changing a
directory in a file system which can therefore be done without any hassle?
