I wish I had some deeply interesting topic to start this list off with, but it is looking like today might be filled with conference calls and meetings instead. Believe me, I wish it was otherwise.
However, I would like to call peoples attention to a very interesting module I saw pop up on CPAN today.

It has an interesting declarative twist to it which I very much like, and being the paranoid and (sometimes overly) defensive programmer that I am I really like the whole idea of guarded commands. While most of my work is web-based applications, I do write a good amount of utility/support scripts to go along with those applications, and I think I will surely try this module out when I write the next one.
So, if anyone has any topics they would like to throw out there, feel free. Just quickly looking over the list of people who signed up, I think we are bound to get some good stuff going here.
