We just seem to have the problem that

   - .net clients use UTF8 for encoding BasicAuth credentials but
   - javascript clients use iso-8859-<whatever> (via btoa)

So, on the server side we can't set an encoding that satisfies both 
autogenerated clients and allows german umlauts.


As far as I understand rfc 7617, the charset can either be "unspecified" 
(many use iso-8859-1) or UTF-8.


So, is there a way to specify the charset for autogenerated clients?
