building: make autoconf style make variables, like abs_top_srcdir, available
The list is:
srcdir
builddir
abs_srcdir
abs_builddir
top_srcdir
top_builddir
abs_top_srcdir
abs_top_builddir
They are only defined in the build tree (under $(OBJDIR)).
(The source tree requires further incremental updates).
