connections: be defensive when removing a connection from the foodgroup list
For instance, when deleting a partially constructed state.
An assigment embedded in an conditional removed. Two loops "clarified".
(The real problem, arguably, is that CK_GROUP=0 so code can't tell the
difference between that an zero initialized data.)
