web: really fix a typo causing gime-work.sh to print the relese tag v4.4 as
blank
- simplify tester.sh
remove code handling an explicit <earliest_hash>,
instead just pass the problem onto gime-work.sh
- change gime-work.sh to choose <earliest_hash> when untested
and handle <earliest_hash> being a tag
- in earliest-commit.sh, always print the hash using %H
- sprinkle 'set -u' a little
