Who cares about infite variations? Just pick the most common. > Net to net, client to net, NAT, no NAT, IPv4/6, routing, firewalling etc > etc. See the examples below. Not being an expert in this area. I would guess usage statistics would show that the most used vpn application would be serval types of natted clients connecting to a vpn server. Especially since this covid remote working. > > These should get you started. Pretty sure they are open to improvements if > you have some. > I am not looking for something that gets me started. I am looking for something that gets me finally finished with libreswan. The reason why I am choosing for an ikev1/ikev2 implementation is that I do not want to ask users to install software (that they do not know). If this were my project I would at least offer a turn key solution for what I assume is the most common application of a vpn server with different clients and check such solutions every period/year if they are still valid. You all have the expertise to find much quicker a common denominator for such setup, than some rookie user. Even knowing up front whether or not such a heterogeneous environment is possible, would save already a lot of time. Is it really so weird to expect to find here a (roadwarrior) solution that fits most common clients? Maintaining on these clients as much as possible default setup. _______________________________________________ Swan mailing list [email protected] https://lists.libreswan.org/mailman/listinfo/swan
