Thanks for the quick response...
I have added <param name="wmode" value="transparent"> just past the
shown object & param with no change. I guess wmode is flaky. I did
have some mouse issues on other instances of my browser. Jittering
jumping and wild page scrolls when the page was loaded after the
changes.

In the information I had from another site it was suggested that an
<embed wmode="transparent" /> is also needed. I placed that just
before the line that terminates the object. (i.e. </object> )
With one of either of the two and with both of 'em it just doesn't
work....
