Related to nested objects serving Flash to desktop browswers and quicktime to the iPhone:
http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/wiki/iphone_mp4 I struggled for some time to get this working. I thought I was encoding the H.264 format improperly. I finally discovered that, for me anyway, I needed to write absolute paths for the quicktime part. Relative paths work fine for everything related to Flash, but the nested object that serves quicktime to the iPhone only worked when I used an absolute path to the mp4 and poster jpeg. Just thought I'd make a note of this to save someone else some pain.
