I have the following code in the page

I know the version is set at 4 there, that's me trying all things I
can :)

The flash seems to be working on my linux box with FP 9.0.31
It did work on my windows XP box with some 9.x version, untill I
updated to the lastest 10.x version, then it just displays a white box
with the correct dimensions (sorta expected to see black as that is
the color I specified...)
It works on another windows XP box with 9.0.47
It fails to work on a Vista box with 10.x (I believe it used to work
with a prior version of flash)
This may not be the right place to post this, but it's one place I
thought I'd throw it out....
