Yes, this is a known flash player plugin bug. Read about it here: http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-561
Unfortunately, there's no known workaround. But, I will say that most people (not all) say it's a non-critical error (meaning, it gets logged, but it doesn't stop any of their other scripts from working). The fact that most find it an annoyance and not a show stopper is probably why Adobe's been slow(er) to address it. --Kyle -------------------------------------------------- From: "audiedog" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 15, 2009 3:40 AM To: "SWFObject" <[email protected]> Cc: <[email protected]> Subject: swfobject getting permission denied error inside an iframe > > If I have a need to serve an swf file in an iframe using swfobject > 2, is there anyway to get rid of the "Error: Permission denied to call > method Location.toString" error that results? If I browse directly to > the target (src) of the iframe, everything works as expected in the > swf, but once rendered inside an iframe it breaks when I click on a > button that would post data back to the server.
