I have no idea what code is/isn't injected by the converter program you
used. You should still be able to use the scripting commands to play / stop
/ interrogate the swf (have a look at the 1st link in my original reply in
regards to what you can control / view).

Was there no params you could set during conversion to give you playback
controls or anything?

The program that allows you to change it would be Adobe Flash :)

I got my current SWF by converting an FLV using a simple program. From
my understanding a SWF doesn't natively have support for controlling
loop or play functionality. Is there any way for me to check if this
functionality is available, or a program that would allow me to change
this ??
