I know this is a hotly debated subject and I'm not wanting to rock the
boat here....

eg.
http://groups.google.com/group/swfobject/browse_thread/thread/e26df320c896ed43/ef0a408d59cc1547?lnk=gst&q=google+deep+linking#ef0a408d59cc1547

I'm just trying to figure out the best way to present content to
people & engines.

So I have a site (http://hummingbirdbaby.com.au/) where I've
implemented dynamic publishing using SWFobject 2.1 (after good advice
from this forum) & SWFaddress 2.2.

1) on entering the site, all html landing pages use JS to check for
Flash and either redirect to the deep-linked URL or

2) if min reqs are not met, the user gets valid XHTML with identical
content generated via the same php source as the Flash file (with less
functionality)

My question is about how Google-bot 'works' now with the SWF indexing
engine..

Will the bot be redirected to the deep link and then fall over because
of the anchor?
Or be given the alt content?
Or both?

NB: I'm also using JS to redirect to https if the Flash loads - anyone
know if this adversely affects the engines?

Apologies if this has been answered - I couldn't find it. But feel
free to post a link-to.

Thanks for your advice.
