When I open the dynamic publishing example page, I receive the following warning at the top of the page: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for options..."
I'm under the impression that the dynamic uploading implementation of swfobject is supposed to circumvent these security warnings. I'm using IE 6.0.2900.5512.xpsp_sp3_gdr.080814-1236 and the example file index_dynamic.html in the folder swfobject, which I downloaded from the project home. The folder includes swfobject.js and test.swf. I uninstalled Flash and reinstalled the latest version, with the same results as before. Here is the code, unchanged since the download. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http:// www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en"> <head> <title>SWFObject 2 dynamic publishing example page</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> swfobject.embedSWF("test.swf", "myContent", "300", "120", "9.0.0", "expressInstall.swf"); </script> </head> <body> <div id="myContent"> <h1>Alternative content</h1> <p><a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"><img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/ get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player" /></a></p> </div> </body> </html> --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SWFObject" group.
