After looking inside your swf, I can see that you are setting your content
path to your video incorrectly.

contentPath = "C:\\Documents and Settings\\Scott Booth\\My Documents\\Akaku
Consulting\\Current Clients\\Strobel Motorsports\\Rel
2_Trophy_Truck\\images_original\\Class_1_Test_NE_flv.flv";

You need to set this just as:

contentPath = "Class_1_Test_NE_flv.flv";

if the video file lives in the same location and the player swf.

You should NEVER have a local file reference if you are going to deploy on
the web, as it will never work.

As a beginner, I would suggest in the future that you upload your video to
the actual web location first and then run the import command in Flash and
point to the live location. This way you can ensure a full absolute path to
the video that will work.

The only downside to this is that if you move the video to a new location on
the server that you will have to change you path in the swf too.

Using relative paths like the above fix gets around this, but can cause
issues for beginners to ensure relative pathing is correct (if the video and
swf live in different locations)

Subject: Embedded Flash Video Doesn't Play w/SWFObject

I'm having trouble getting an embedded video to play after .html is
uploaded to my server. I'm using some older tools (Dreamweaver 8) and
it publishes basic <object> and <embed> tags to publish the video in
the .html code. The embedded video works great when launching on my
local PC. However, after uploading to webhost, the video does not
play. I understand that browsers were updated and embedded videos are
handled better via javascripting and have been researching
alternatives.

I've attempted to use Adobe javascripting options like those found
at:  http://www.adobe.com/devnet/activecontent/articles/devletter.html
. I was unsuccessful with either approach illustrated there and am
now also attempting to use SWFObject 2.1. Any advice on what I'm
doing wrong would be most welcomed. I'm a relatively novice web
designer and am clearly out of my depth here. But, I'm hoping to get
a new site with embedded video launched in the next week if possible
and am now at my wit's end!

html file:  http://www.strobelmotorsports.com/swfobject_test.html
swf file:   foo.swf

Thanks for your review and input.
