Thanks for the 2nd test page. This shows that it is not a SWFObject issue
(which while good in terms of the SWFObject team not having to deal with a
bug, not helpful to you).
I would suggest you look at a different video player swf as a quick test /
solution. The jw media player is free, and easy to configure:

You can just point to a external FLV file via flashvars without having to
code anything yourself.
(their example in the installation section still use swfobject 1.x notation,
but you'll get the idea - there is also a configurator -

If the JW media player works with the two videos (which it should - I've
seen many implementations with multiple videos on a page using this player)
then you know there is something wrong with your original swfs.

Here is another test page using Flash's native HTML output. Still same
problem. I too, am thinking my issue might lie somewhere within the
SWF files. Is there some setting that will not allow any page activity
until it's full loaded?
