Micky. Most of the fixes to FP9 have been security related. As far as I know there is nothing in the earlier build of FP9 that would stop your SlideshowPro content from working (you can always ask the crew at SSP if they know of any issues).
I would suggest you just target 9.0.0 as you have already. (this is what is used on the SSP homepage) Oh, come to think of it, if you want full screen capabilities, then you want to target 9.0.28 and higher.
