Philip beat me to the punch in the reply (must increase the automated bot ping time :) Well, as Philip said, all of the developers who contribute to the project are here as volunteers. We all put in the time / skills that we can, and it seems to have worked so far :) I guess you could say that we all found value in what Geoff and Bobby originally put together in that it solved some headaches in our own work. For me personally, I am happy to give a little of my time back to the community as a thanks for people who helped me over the years. It is also rewarding to see a project grow. Doing something a little different outside of the day job of developing is also good for the soul... At the end of the day, you could say that there is potential benefit for us in that there is some kudos to have worked on something well known/used. Maybe it will help get a job / network with people etc ? I guess that is what open-source is all about at the end of the day though; getting some (skilled) people together who are passionate enough to put some time in to getting something built.
