Thanks a LOT Phillip (sorry for misspelling your name in my previous
post by the way), I modified the code to make use of that
window.parent.swfobject "trick".

I didn't realize that the object was actually living in the parent
document and was trying to work around the iFrame sandboxing through
all sorts of DOM/javascript dynamic script include tricks, which
created hell in Internet Explorer and Safari.
