Hi Aran, SWFAddress requires a hidden IFRAME for IE and in 2.3 I changed the way it's created.
In previous versions I used the DOM method appendChild() but in order to avoid another issue I switched to modifying the body.innerHTML property. This resulted in various unpleasant problems like this one with the FlashVars and was recently reverted to another DOM based approach. In general if someone does something like the above using innerHTML it can break such features in swfobject.
