@James - The direct answer is that FAQ #1 will sort out your issue (
http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/wiki/faq ). You need to add some CSS in
order to get FF to style your DIV correctly.

@X.Smalbil - Why post AC_FL_RunContent code to a SWFObject list? We are
trying to offer help to people wishing to use SWFObject, not direct them to
Adobe's outdated embedding code (in case you weren't aware CS4 apps now use
SWFObject as the default embed method). We are all for (and appreciate)
people helping and contributing to the list, but suggesting that the
original poster implement AC_FL_RunContent is not helpful.

@Jim - I hear you on the extra hoops to jump through when trying to do
certain things with SWFObject 2.x. With the overall goals we were trying to
achieve with the 2.x release (web standards, unobtrusive js best practices
etc), some ease of use has been compromised.
