I will try this in various version of internet explorer
but I did notice that your nested object has an id which is not needed
also the function check event string you could use getQueryParamValue
var event = swfobject.getQueryParamValue("events");
/ext-interface.html?events=Ministry+of+Sound
my test which I have recreated offline using pipwerks ext interface examples
works fine but I have not tested it in ie, will let you know when I have.
(will check 2.2 also)
