I shall disagree with the powers that be, only for the reason that enclosing
the embed code in divs gives you more cross-browser stylistic control over
the output.  There's also the notion that the div tag validates properly
whereas a naked nested embed does not?  (Could be absolutely wrong about
that one)

That said, there's nothing operationally that will make SWFObject fail to
perform if you don't include those divs, but... I would argue it's good HTML
coding practice.
