flowplayer has a flv player ; it also has an alt (to swfobject) method of
placing flash media in  a page.

passing this as the flashvars object to may make it work

flowplayer-700.flv<http://vod01.netdna.com/vod/demo.flowplayer/flowplayer-700.flv>'
}

inspecting the output in firebug should provide clues;
