Hi Su.

What you set your ruler units to within the IDE do not represent what will
be shown once published. If you are developing content for the web, you will
need to learn to think in pixels as browsers do not measure things in
inches. You can have a laptop which has a screen of 15.4" in measurement,
but has a screen pixel resolution width of 1920px. Another laptop also 15.4"
could have a resolution of 1024px. The two are not the same or linked...

You need to design your site to fit safely for a given resolution. Most
people still work under the minimum of 1024x768 screens as the default,
which gives you a safe area of 955 x 600px (by the time you get toolbars,
scrollbars etc).

In your example page I see a vertical scrollbar (always) as you have both
100% height definition for your swf file AND "site built by" content
afterwards which means there is always more content than what the browser
can show without a vertical scrollbar, AND I see a horizontal scrollbar once
< 1000px as defined by your CSS. The page is working just like it should
(given the content).

If you want to use 100% scaling on your flash file like in your example
page, then you cannot have other content which is also on the page. Either
that or you can define a fixed size DIV and have Flash fill that to 100%
 instead.

Anyhow, neither of these things are SWFObject specific. A web
design forum which covers the basics might be the best place to hang out and
ask some questions...
