Hi Laura,

You should be fine with either static or dynamic embed

your page has a huge amount going on but from I can see you have an embed
tag with the static object

static objects for swfobject 2 consist of two object tags with params for
each (no embed tag)

z-index layering does work fine with swfobject 1.x or 2.x (or indeed with
plain flash markup ie not using swfobject)

I suggest you generate the code using the online or air generators and then
add markup to that to build a simplified test of your desired page
