Hi,

I have two problems related to swfobject that I desperately need
resolution to (but may well be IE7 problems...). If anyone has any
advice on how to handle this, I'd be greatly appreciative :D

Problem 1:-

• When the createSWF function is called on a page in IE7, it causes a
noticeable and unacceptable delay, both when the page initially loads
and subsequent calls to it (from links), other browsers such as Chrome
and Firefox don't behave this way, swfobject seems pretty snappy in
all but IE7 (for me).

Problem 2:-

• When swfobject is present, IE7's default flash movie keyboard access
breaks. You can tab into the flash movie and tab out of the flash
movie, (the default behaviour without swfobject, IE being the only
browser that actually can give focus to the elements within a flash
movie from the browser) but when you try to get back in to the flash
movie (after you have tabbed out and gone around the the top of the
page), it skips it, as if the flash movie wasn't there.

I am trying this with Flash Player 10 (latest, at the time of this
post), on Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP.

I have tried to find info on this, and so far I have come up with very
little, it's surprising that others aren't having this same issue.

I found this page...

http://learnswfobject.com/advanced-topics/load-a-swf-using-javascript-onclick-event/

...while being a very helpful example of how to use swfbject, doesn't
seem to work at all in IE8! (at least for me anyway...)

I don't see these two problems in IE8, does it mean I shouldn't care
about IE7? Because that's annoying, I need to get this working in IE7!

Frustrating! Can anyone help me? Anyone at all? :(
