I've found a few references to this problem but nothing that seems to
solve the problem.

I have a site in which the content centers. In that content is a
SWFObject-placed SWF with a black background, which completely fills
the width of a div with gray background.

In Firefox (Mac anyway - haven't checked PC yet), if I resize the
page, a single pixel of gray appears and disappears to the left of the
black SWF while I'm resizing. Depending on when I stop, it will either
be visible or not. This is the underlying column gray showing through
- or past - the left edge of the SWF. It's like the SWF is momentarily
narrower than the column.

The problem doesn't happen if the content is not centered. So I
suspect Firefox is trying to be clever about sub-pixel rendering or
something in trying to keep the content centered, and it isn't working
for the SWF.

Just wondering if there's ever been an official resolution to this
problem, or if it's just "that's Firefox - tough luck".
