It seems to be a problem with the font:

WARNING The following Type 3 Font will be rendered as bitmap:
WARNING =========== UFONT4 (ID:4,0) ==========
WARNING | Tag: font-4-0
WARNING | Type: 3
WARNING | is serif

When magnified, the math script is not blury but the normal text is.
