OK Chris, I found a reference to swfdump as one of the utilities in swftools, not a param of pdf2swf. I'll keep looking.

I'm an end user, not a developer. So am I. Maybe as/when/if my knowledge of 'c' and the various internals improves, I'll be able to actively submit patches and make contributions, etc, etc. Time is always a factor, plus, as I get older, the less I like being sat at a computer!! >I'd be willing to create a pdf2swf help document for users like me (who don't > understand developer shorthand, jargon, UNIX and DOS prompts) and make it > available for all to save time on trial and error. What's that? Sorry! Typo! ( smacks self on hand! ). Typing, swfdump -X -Y yourfile.swf will give you the dimensions of the swf you are interested in. Hence I was saying, try a conversion, then use swfdump to check what happens. If you see a difference, then you have answered your own question. Tral and error, and a process of elimination works wonders, even for an end-user. > Also it mentions that jpegsubpixels=<pixels> is the same as jpegdpi, but in > pixels, but I >don't see an explicit reference to jpegdpi. Trial an error! Featues come and go. Type the following command and see what happens,, pdf2swf -s ppmdpi=100 yourfile.pdf -o yourfile.swf > Similarly I see ppmsubpixels is the same as ppmdpi but in pixels, and > there's no listing of ppmdpi.
