Sorry Chris, I don't have anything to compile Flash. Am almost clueless. Re the browser, I'm using Firefox 3.6 with Windows 7 starter on an Acer Aspire netbook.
The PDF video just seemed like a lot of pages scrolling quickly. I didn't get the hang of what should be happening apart from that. Will view it with Chrome and give you feedback. Explorer seems to have a problem on this machine of late. Have no idea why. The code is untidy, the SVG graphics chunky, and it's in no way fully tested. But, it's about 80% there. Something to build on if I get the incentive. Browser versions, flash plug-in versions, build quirks, etc, etc, ad-nauseam.
