The review of SE-0042 "Flattening the function type of unapplied method references" ran from March 16...21, 2016. The proposal has been *accepted*: The core team and most of the community agree that this proposal would increase the usability of the functional features in Swift, and eliminates a class of problems that occur with inout parameters. Thank you to Joe Groff for proposing this.
