The only fix related to this area which I found is: http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk9/jdk9/jdk/rev/5d93e8959edc It should be rechecked that the changes in the JToggleButton are expected(or not). Can you please create a new CR via bugs.java.com? Thank you for the report.
