For example:
JOptionPane.showConfirmDialog(this, "Do you wish to save file?",
"Confirm", JOptionPane.YES_NO_CANCEL_OPTION)
When you type left ALT+Y it works, but right ALT+Y does NOT work.
This is a regression added in Java9.
