Hi there
I have a question that is a little off topic, but i hope you'll answer
anyway.
I have this application, that is to be installed in 5 different countries,
on 5 different local intranets, (a common intranet is in the works but not
finished yet).
My question is regarding the distribution of the application,
we are considering the following:
- setting up an intranet site that has a signed applet that can download
latest version of jar-files to local pc
or
- creating a 'normal' installable disk (ya' know setup.exe etc.)
or
- running of a shared networkdrive
or
- ???
I hope you could give some idea of how you're doing the same, or which
method you would prefer.
PS: we are using jdk 1.1.8, so Java web start is not an option
