try this:
javac myprog.java > error.txt 2>&1
This will send stderr output to error.txt also. > redirects output to file
handle 1
(stdout). 2>&1 redirects output to stderr to the same place as stdout, the
file.

Subject: How to redirect the error messages generated by javac??
Hello all:
IHAC that is running Windows/98 who would like to redirect the error
messages
generated by javac. He tries using:
javac myprog.java > error.txt
but that just creates an empty file called error.txt. Has anyone encountered
and solved this problem before?
