1) Check out IBM's alphaworks page. It contains the Bridge2Java Tool that allows you to create
java 'stub' classes based on COM-objects (*.tlb,*.olb). There's an example in this package
that creates a word document and adds information to it...and it's free while in alphaworks.
I'm using this tool to upload/download information from/to Excel files to/from AS/400 Database
files.

they also have an OLE-Bridge...

2) You can use jacozoom's  java-com bridge  to access Excell. You can download an evaluation
version or buy their commercial version at 180$.

3) You can use jIntegra's  java-com bridge  to access COM-objects. You can download an evaluation
version or buy their commercial version. (Prices are high)

4) GNU Project : a 'Free' java-com tool

5) You can use MS J/Direct to access COM-objects. Unfortunately you'll have to use their VM.

6) Dan Adler's page gives a good updated overview of JAV-COM Technologies.Check it out at

Subject: MS Word docs

Hi all!

Does anybody know of a possibility to create MS Word documents out of a Java application?

Help on that manner would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Gerald.
