odd behaviour of JFrame

Hi!     I have an application which opens up a number of dialogs .. out of one of these dialogs I'm opening a JFrame .. the strange thing is that in certain cases the frame does not accept any mouse actions any more .. it just behaves as if that frame would be inactive .. but I'm able to navigate the frame through keyboard ..   Does anybody know why that happens? And what to do to get rid of it?     Thanks a lot for your help, Gerald.     By the way: I'm using JDK 1.2.2
