I can recommend graphic Java: Mastering the JFC from
David M. Geary, Sun Microsystem Press.

It explains the theorie behind Swing quite detailed
(like MVC,Lightweight-Heavyweight,Pluggable L&F) and
has examples for everything.

Java Swing from Eckstein,Loy,Wood, O'Reilly is ok, has
more examples and practical solutions, but doesn't
explain the theory in so much detail.

If you've got a good printer, there is a book on-line
for download:

I've only looked at some bits and it seems ok, too.
