Hi,

I have a JFrame housing a JSplitPane. This JSplitPane, in turn, accomodates a
JScrollPane that contains a JTree. A pretty long story that, but the problem is
that whenever data in the tree changes, I'm being forced to make an altogether
new JScrollPane with the new tree inside it in order to enforce refreshment.
The same dirty piece of logic has had to be used for other GUI components on
the frame. This works, but the speed is marred.
I was looking for a solution that involves some magic combination of
statements like validate, invalidate, paint, repaint or whatever.
I'm sure these statements would be featherweights compared to the unwieldy
block of code that I've been using till now.

Any help on this ??

Thanx in advance.
