Hello, It's not a swing question but I really need information so : I read this line on the java web-site (http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/community/chat/JavaLive/2000/jl0829.html): "The Sun classic VM kept heaps it requested from the system until the end of the VM's run. HotSpot will return unused heap to the system, though to keep from thrashing it will wait a bit to see if the memory is really unused" HotSpot returns heap to the System? Where can I find information on that particular topic? (when does it really occur? ...)
