I want to have a checkbox showing but not enabled (as a way to tell someone what a state is). My problem is that disabling the checkbox makes the text fade out. I don't mind having the box gray out but I don't want the text to dim or change in any way. Is this possible with JCheckbox? If so, can someone show (or tell or point to an example) how this is done?
