I think it's not a good idea to use a name in the server statement of Windows'
nslookup as you can see here:
C:\Users\doangehrn>nslookup
Standardserver: (...)
Address: (...)
> server google-public-dns-a.google.com
Standardserver: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Addresses: 2001:4860:4860::8888
8.8.8.8
> www.google.com
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Addresses: 2001:4860:4860::8888

*** www.google.com wurde von google-public-dns-a.google.com nicht gefunden: No
response from server.
It's better to either use the server statement with an IP or to use the
alternative syntax as used here:
C:\Users\doangehrn>nslookup www.google.com google-public-dns-a.google.com
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8
Nicht autorisierende Antwort:
Name: www.google.com
Addresses: 2a00:1450:400a:807::1013
64.233.166.105
64.233.166.99
64.233.166.103

And with the one line syntax I have no problems for the metanet DNS server:
C:\Users\doangehrn>nslookup www.metanet.ch ns.ch-meta.net
