Hello Fredy,

I’m not contacting you about the 16-bit AS, but posting to the ML because I
recently started an IXP and had the same issue.

We eventually went with a 32-bit AS and so far have experienced no problems.
IXPManager said that it’s required, but other than some communities that will
not be available (you’ll be Large-only), there has been no problem whatsoever.

If you can’t find one, don’t worry too much about it, it shouldn’t be a
problem. On the other hand, if you insist, a couple brokers had a ton of them
for 2-5k which may qualify as “decent” :)
