True, depending on the source address of that message. In fact I don't see
any good reason to make such a configuration?! Save addresses? Legacy?
Still, no reason is good enough when problems like the one Markus described
can happen.

But since the question is what to say to Nik's customer, well tell him you
can do nothing else than talk (complain?) to your upstream provider.
