Hi all

Sorry for the question, but here's probably the place I'll find an answer
quickly.
I'm tracking DNS troubles with classless ptr delegation. (Well that hispeed MX
troubles also affected us)

Our $ISP has apparently set up classless delegation for us. I found out after
some guessing :-)

$ host -t ns 77.141.195.in-addr.arpa
77.141.195.in-addr.arpa name server ns2.sunrise.ch.
77.141.195.in-addr.arpa name server ns1.sunrise.ch.

$ host -t ns 0/27.77.141.195.in-addr.arpa
0/27.77.141.195.in-addr.arpa name server dns2.pragmatica.ch.
0/27.77.141.195.in-addr.arpa name server dns1.pragmatica.ch.

$ host -t SOA 0/27.77.141.195.in-addr.arpa
0/27.77.141.195.in-addr.arpa SOA dns1.pragmatica.ch.
[...]

$ host -t ptr 6.77.141.195.in-addr.arpa
6.77.141.195.in-addr.arpa is an alias for 6.0/27.77.141.195.in-addr.arpa.
6.0/27.77.141.195.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer pragmatica.ch.

Well, I've been trying different DNS of different ISP in Switzerland, they all
return correct entries. No errors either in the logiles of our bind9 servers.

But some others seam just not to get that zone.
Especialy www.zonecut.net pretends that it does not exist.

Now I've found out that the '/' character in the zone could be unsupported.
Could that be the cause those problems?

Regards
- -Benoit-
