RTG is a great tool for some tasks. It's hard to avoid if you make up your 
billing information from SNMP data. And of course, it's fast, 'cuz it's pure C.

But: 1). Its collector is strongly SNMP-oriented. Of course, for most 
of users that's not a problem; 2) its SNMP device discovery tool is quite
limited, compared to that of RRFW. 

Actually nothing prevents RRFW from being integrated with RTG, taking 
strong sides from both tools. But someone has to initiate and motivate such 
development.
