RTG is a great tool for some tasks. It's hard to avoid if you make up your billing information from SNMP data. And of course, it's fast, 'cuz it's pure C. But: 1). Its collector is strongly SNMP-oriented. Of course, for most of users that's not a problem; 2) its SNMP device discovery tool is quite limited, compared to that of RRFW. Actually nothing prevents RRFW from being integrated with RTG, taking strong sides from both tools.
