If you want to write a decent stack, implement both and let BGP negotiate, because you will find both in this cruel world....

We do the same here - separate sessions with IPv4 prefixes exchanged
over IPv4, IPv6 prefixes over IPv6. As Pascal said, it's easier to
set up and debug, although it does seem slightly wasteful.
