Hi
Which requirements in special? Which OS? What do you mean by '4 ports'? Sorry, either I understand you wrong or you should be more precise.
Terminal Servers usually provide RS-232 connectors, which is also known as COM-port or serial port.
I bought a 8 Port RS-232 Card from arp-datacon.ch ("I/O-Karte
8x RS-232 Seriell, PCI", 249 CHF) for this purpose and connected
it to a Linux box. It's huge though and it almost wouldn't fit
into the rack:http://daniel.lorch.cc/files/IMGP0210.JPG
That's where I connect my Realweasels [1] to, which IMAO is still the best remote administration hardware available. Anyone else got Realweasels running? Compared to DRAC it might not provide a network card and you need an extra box where you connect the serial port to, but at least it's OS independant (i.e. you don't need a Windows box with IE for the Remote Administration Java Applet to work) and it works reliably. DRAC4 might be different, but I didn't have the chance to test it, yet.
