Has someone already hared something about Huawei equipment?
Yes. It seems, they took IOS code to use it for their own products without permission from Cisco. http://www.symlink.ch/articles/03/06/09/1055232.shtml
Has someone any experiences with it?
Me not.
I just heard that Cisco is processing against them and train people to find arguments against them. Usually this is a good sign.
There were also some articles on heise online http://www.heise.de (german) As far as I know they settled the process. Huawai changed some code.
Juniper find arguments against Cisco, Huawai, Nortel... Nortel against .... Cisco against .... That's just normal sales-people behaviour. For me most of sales-people are like used-cars vendors in american B-movies.
If you speak to different vendors you can get a better overview and insight what to watch for exactly because of the vendors pinpointng possile weak points. If you put all together you can get a better overall view.
No wonder. Cisco does not like Huawei because of the reason above. After all, it's from the R.O.C. (Republic Of Copy).
All the while Cisco is offshoring (at least manufacturing) to China.
